A Noldor came to me and said:
"Was there something else I could have done? A messenger, a light?"
Some children run and play behind
"Was there a time?" the Noldor sighed. "Was there a sign?"
"Where did it go wrong? See what we left behind!"
"Was there a time for blind eyes to see?"
"We left so many dead! In endless solitude we'll walk."
"Cused and rejected by our peers. Life is all sorrow, pain and grief."
He said "I need to rest, call to the One, erase this sadness."
He said "I need to rest, pray to the One, erase this sadness from them."
"See what we left behind..."
